#132046 - I tend to recall having heard
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Similarly, I know that "a" is for "assembler," and that "c" came after "b," but I don't remember what the "b" was. Does anybody remember?

I tend to recall having heard that K&R made a lanuage named 'b'. using it they found it so (I do not recall the word) that they scrapped it and started on 'C'
