I doubt those common "cheap" LED's are at all suitable for use in outdoor displays.
Yes, you can modulate the current in order to control brightness, but you first must ensure that you have enough brightness in the first place. The primary issue with multiplexing is that the LED's aren't "on" all the time. If one's going to be able to read it when it's in direct sunlight, the display has to be pretty bright! RE |
