Are there EPROMs still available now?

I don't know, since I use only Flash memory and Flash microcontrollers over 10 years.

Flash programming was almost as easy as SRAM writing.
There must be written 3 certain bytes to certain addresses to do a Flash erase.
After Flash writing data polling or waiting the write time can be used until the internal write was finished.
For faster writing, you can use page write.
That's all.

Older Flashs needed 12V write voltage. I don't know, if such Flash are still available today.
