Hi all
this is caution notice to all the users of this forum about one supplier. Recently I purchased Atmel AT89C51RE2 parts from the said supplier and found they are duplicates and not working. costing about US$ 150.00 when contacted them about the problem their response is rude and "do what ever you can" attitude. Please be careful with that supplier. Their Address is given below Mr. Vimal Ajmera BRILLIANT ELECTRO SYSTEMS PVT LTD 4 Chiplunker Bldg Tara Temple Lane , Lamington Road , Bombay 400007 INDIA TEL + 91 22 2387 5565 / 2388 8775 FAX + 91 22 2388 7063 / 6633 3329 Haribabu It seems quite a high price, considering that you can get ATMEL parts via eBay and PayPal for much less, e.g. US$0.15 rather than US$150. I'm not advocating for the use of eBay as normal supply-chain for production, but for small lots, well, they're OK if they offer what you want. Through eBay and PayPal, you can get your money back if the product is defective or in any way other than as advertised. That's a serious disincentive to persons or organizations wishing to cheat their customers. BTW, when they refuse to accept PayPal, which is a VERY fast, convenient, and secure payment vehicle, it should be a "red flag" to any potential buyer. RE |
