#62359 - RE: FIFO problem Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Its a common problem with FIFO's caused by noise on the very fast control lines internal to the FIFO logic.Basically the control logic which controls the read and write pointers get corrupted. The manufactures will usualy give guidelines for designing with their devices which need to be closely followed in order to minimise the problems. It is a problem in all FIFO's and the only answer is careful circuit design and layout. |
