#62725 - RE: FIFO problem Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I have read through some of the application notes on the IDT website, and they mention noise on the read/write lines and crosstalk between tracks as possible reasons for my problem.
One application note recommends adding a 20-50 Ohm series resistor to minimize ringing. It doesn't mention where to put it, but I guess right at the gate that generates the read/write pulses? And since I have two FIFOs in parallel, should I add two resistors and use seperate tracks to the FIFOs? To avoid noise I guess "shielding" the R/W tracks with ground tracks would be an idea... And Michael, I haven't forgotton your advice. I'm just trying to find all the possible problems - and hopefully fix them. Best regards, Mikkel C. Simonsen |
