The sad part of this story is the engineers salary will drop in the years ahead because the jobs are being sent over to China, India and east Europe. The truck drivers are assured of getting more in the future because of the power they control thru their union.

Wages overseas are typically 30% of developed nations. When this reality strikes home I don't think you will look at driving a truck as boring.
