If you read the limitations of the Keil eval version, you will understand why you cannot use it for an AT89C2051.

SO you will have to use something else.

http://chaokhun.kmitl.ac.th/~kswichit.../clock.htm contains code specifically for SDCC - and a link to download SDCC itself.

So SDCC would seem like a good choice!
