#75367 - RE: How Good Is This Board Part 2. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hallo Prahlad,
the layout arround opto couplers is much better now! I would still change following points: - Remove all signal between input pins of SSRs and output pins! Feed the signals to the inputs of SSR from the side where resistors R3...R8 are sitting. Use these resistors as bridges if necessary, means route signals under these resistors. Orienting some of these resistors in north-south direction can help. - It can help to surround the microcontroller circuit on top layer by a guard trace (which is connected to ground plane, maybe by vias), especially arround IC3 and input pins of SSRs, so that the first what interference coming from output side of SSRs sees is ground and not any signal (guard trace acts as a shield!). But don't violate minimum safety distance of 8mm. Do it as you did it with the optos, that was great. - On bottom layer ground plane should be extended over pins 18...20 of IC3. - At MOV1 minimum saftey distance is violated! The mounting screw of PCB is too close to copper traces to and from MOV1. - Also between R8 and R29 distance is a bit too small. - And keep also in mind, that mounting screws of SUB-D connectors are critical. I don't know how you want to connect them, but they may be placed too close to ground plane of microcontroller circuit, eventually. - The fixing wire of crystal should have a connection to ground plane!
