Congratulations. You have company. I am a similiar case B.E(Mech.) but fully on to Electronics + Hydraulics. My dream was to become a qualified Electronics engineer only - but then during my time ( circa 1979 ) most engineering colleges in my state had well established mechanical faculties and electronic labs were not equiped well and as a rank holder (!) was forced into mechanical.

No regrets. I am a happy man today because of the additional skill set. ( Only thing running my own company today, wish I had an interest in law also !)
