#83608 - UART speed Responding to: ???'s previous message |
hi,
But how such a HI data rate can be generated? UART available on controllers cannot support these rates. There are some derivatives with BRG (baud rate generator) implemented. For example, Atmel AT89C51RD2 allows to obtain about 1,5Mbps with 24MHz crystal using BRG for UART modes 1 and 3. As about 15Mbps so look at some SiLabs parts which have second UART (UART1) with Enhanced Baud Rate Generator. Due datasheets it may produce speed upto SYSCLK/2. Regards, Oleg |
