#85350 - Dont do this.
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Dear Payam,

This kind of RS232 circuits have been discussed several times here and the conclusion from earlier discussions is that such things tends to be very irreliable. The problem is this stuff may work when connected to some PC/device. and maynot work if connected some other PC/device. Since RS232 has got a wide range for '0' +3V to +12V and '1' -3V to -12V. Try to search the forum you will get plenty of simillar circuits and related problems. I would recommend you to use MAX232 or equivalent nothing else for this application.

Regards,
Prahlad Purohit
