If you need to run at 100 MIPS, maybe the 8051 isn't the right architecture for the job? :)

It so happens that my project a bit bit intensive. That makes me lean a bit towards the '51 with a bit of instructions that make bit operations a bit faster. I could say a bit more about why I want to use the '51 but a bit of me believe that this bit of bit information will go a large bit of the way.
