I hear you, Erik, and I was making the comment tounge-in-cheek. But just as you may have reasons for selecting an 8051 that goes about 100 times faster than the original 8051, certainly there are people who have their own reasons for wanting to use an 8051 but want more than a 256-byte stack or to have more 16-bit registers.
