First, you added " - get rid of the big power consumption at low clocks " to the wishlist.

So, I said that the parts should be built in full CMOS (unlike original 8051s in NMOS!). The point here is that in CMOS, power consumption is a function of clock frequency, since CMOS only draws power during switching.

I guess the power consumption of derivatives with lots of analog or other features may not be strictly a function of clock frequency.
