I think people here are over reacting towards sms, Some say it is illegal, some others suggest deleting the thread, some others closing the thread, some others making a voting system. Why all the hassle and waste of time for nothing. If you don't like sms you simply do not answer the question or just tell the poster clearly if you don't ask nicely I will not answer your question.
I have been reading the forum regularly in the digest form for quite a while now. I usually do not comment unless I have a positive contribution to make. I have observed that there are some members who like to question and answer each and every new subject on this forum. While I have no gripes with this, I certainly agree strongly with Mahmood. If you do not understand the question and do intend to help the poster, a small warning to the poster will help. No doubt, you may argue about the waste of time / bandwidth. But, whats the point in flaming the poster / suggesting to read the rules / -ve points etc. The poster of SMS has yet to come to terms with real languages or is making a style statement like many youngsters. So, my suggestion like members before me is to ignore the messages that taunt you with sms. Same goes for unformatted / uncommented code fragments posted. If you can help and do understand the query, great - go ahead and answer it - or else - just ignore it !!!! Cheer up folks and lets get our positive energies flowing Good day |
