The problem, Kai, is that SMS has now led someone to think they were being attacked by an offensive message when the message wasn't offensive in any way. It was a complete misunderstanding due specifically to SMS.

It's one thing to have different cultures and habits. But when those cultures and habits lead to unnecessary conflict and misunderstanding in a forum that is made up of people of many habbits and cultures, the issue becomes more than one of tolerance. It's no longer about the entire forum tolerating someone's SMS habit but rather the SMS-user recognizing the fact that in a a medium that depends on clear communication, the poster should use the clearest form of communication possible. And that's not SMS.
