There exist many Atmel 8051 derivates, which are specified for 40MHz (20Mhz at XTAL/6) or 60MHz (30MHz at XTAL/6).

So why you not use one of these ?

Why does it have to be an Atmel chip, e.g. SILabs have 100MHz one clockers (=600 MHz six clockers), Philips LPC are 18 MHZ 2 clockers (= 66 MHz 6 clockers) Dallas has 40MHz 4 clockers (=60 MHz six clozkers), the list goes on
