well, it "is" possible. Some devices (I recall no '51s) overcome the slovenness of flash by using a wider internal flash memory. For instance the Philips ARM variants use a 128 bit wide flash and thus get 4 fetches for the price of one. This, of course makes every jump the equivalent of a "cache miss" but it is still a means of getting "fast flash". I hope one of the fast '51 makers will see the light some day.
