#119435 - cable shield connection ...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
... is one of the issues where you will NEVER get a consensus. I have as temporary fixes in desperate situations 'solved' problems in some cases by cutting the connection to the shield in one end and - by Jove - in other cases solved by attaching it in both ends.

I, personally am a firm believer in the shield in one end only, but do accept that the other camp probably has a many campers as this one. I could post the reason for this, but what good would it do, the believers would agree, those from the other side would not.

Erik

PS: I got the "by Jove" from some charcter in some authors novel(s) can't remember who - anyone?
