No Rx2 (Jan this cover RA2, RB2, RC2, RD2, they are the same, just different flash size) will under any condition emit anything but 'U' when 'factory fresh'.

there are 3 generations of the P89y51Rx2
P89C51Rx2H... which we discuss here
had some problems and was thus replaced by the
P89C51Rx2 (no H) ... which works well
to make 'autoboot' easier and implement SoftICE that was replaced by
P89V51Rx2
