#124879 - FM can not restore a lost bootvector
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Just downloaded the FM, also few documents hope to get some info for fixing the Problem.
FM can not restore a lost bootvector. The bootvector is required for FM to even talk to the chip.

Also could you suggest a Reset IC and why is it required? ..I mean what’s wrong with RC Reset?
any supervisor with the right polarity of the reset - check Maxim. National, Linear Tech ....
RC reset can put the chip in a state where it runs with Vcc too low. If Vcc is "a bit" too low some parts of the chip will not function, some will function and some will function wrong. In such a state anything can happen.
