#125559 - I don't like 'em, but it's built into the DS89C4x0 Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It seems that the DS89C4x0 series is pretty tolerant of RC resets. It doesn't mind a 10nf with a 1K pulldown, and it doesn't mind a 1 uf with a 1K pulldown. Neither Intel's 8751 nor AMD's will reset with that same circuit. At present, I don't care, since the Maxim/Dallas parts are all that interests me at the moment. None of the commercial 875x/805x circuits I have in house use a reset circuit though, so it must be possible. I've never observed a bit of trouble with their applications, nor have I had trouble when I've faithfully copied them.
