#133359 - I have routinely done this in the past
Responding to: ???'s previous message
and it always fails.

It works with the tiebacks, and fails without them. If I copy an HPGL file to a serial-interfaced device, it overruns the receive buffer. Windows expects an infinitely deep buffer, which no device I've got has. Since I've got no control over the application (it's almost always wrong!) I have to assume it's up to me to make it work. The tiebacks always make it work.

This is particularly true if the application doesn't run under Windows.
