The formula to calculate the current through the LED does not take into account the drop across the LED. This is 1.8V for a red and 2.1V for a green LED, so you can't just dismiss it.

Especially on a 5V rail.
High brightness/high efficiency leds are great, but sometimes their forward volt drop kills you - especially with Yellow ones ~3V a piece.

Pretty graphics though.
