You guys......the two transistor circuit to drive an LED.....goodness...

#1 Do the direct to port for the quick and dirty like you showed

#2 use a PNP transistor like this:



#3 use a NPN transistor like this:



#4 And finally if you are needing more than just 1 or 2 LEDs then use this chip with hookup similar to NPN version.


Good idea making it into a page though.
