#45729 - RE: making AT89C1051/2051/4051 popular Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hello Mr. Vinod Kumar,
I use to think there were more projects using pic's (especially the 16C54 or 16F84) than 8051 related IC's but over time I have concluded the 8051 has an equivalent somewhere on the net. It just take stumbling across them. Money has a lot to do with the selection of PICS. The 12C50X's are eight pin devices cost about $1.00 (US$). They are one time programmable (OTP) but you can do your development on a 16F84 which is reprogrammable and once you application is finished you can transfer it to the smaller IC. The 16F84 is pin compatible to the 16C508 which helps a lot when you switch over. I think the PIC people are more down to earth than the 8051 types. Maybe that is what you seeing. Is there a particular circuit you are looking for in a 89CXX51? I have a library of links I have collected over the years I would be more than glad to share Regards, Charles Bannister |
