#45885 - RE: OTPs Responding to: ???'s previous message |
"LPC7xx was only available as OTP (I hate OTP and will never return to it) and the LPC9xx works only at up to 3.6V."
I worked with the LPC764 (if I remember correctly) last year. As you said, it was OTP. It was a hassle during development. What I eventually did was hardwired the project prototype to an evaluation board I had for another processor. Since 99% of the code was just standard 8052 I was able to develop and test 99% of it using the evaluation board with the non-Philips part downloading test after test. Once everything was working I did some final testings using the OTP parts just to verify everything was working. OTP is a pain but sometimes the price is right when there is going to be large quantities involved in production. Regards, Craig Steiner |
