------------------------------- does this forum, any one from it or jointly, tried to develop a progrmmer for 51 devices.? I have considdered it... I have designed two simple adapters - one for the Atmel AT89Cx051 range and another for the Philips 87LPC76x range. They are designed for hooking up to an old NMI 8031 development board I have. If they work correctly (the PCBs should be arriving from Bulgaria any day now...) I plan to make a larger "universal" programmer. My current plan it to support the "standard" 40/44 pin devices like the 87C51 and 89C51 devices from various manufacturers, and also some of the LPC devices from Philips, Atmel and Temic. I had planned to design it around the Siemens SAB80C535 (because I have some), but if others are interested I guess I should choose an un-dead part ;-) I guess the T89C51RD2 would also work nicely... My plan it to make the 80535 (or other chip) do all the programming work, so the programmer will only need a terminal emulator on the host PC for controlling the programmer and downloading HEX-files. Does that sound interesting to anybody? Best regards, Mikkel C. Simonsen |
