No thats NOT the point. The point I'm making is that there isn't an unpredicatable non-linearity - there is a transducer function which is imposed by the mechanical system. There is no "curve fitting" or data analysis - there is a look at the system to see "oh look" that linkage imposes a sine function on data from the transducer, I can use a simple expansion to model that easily. 0 position is zero output 90 degrees is unity output."
