There are two materials which appear to exhibit very, very close to ZERO mechanical hysteresis, one is crystalline silicon, and the other isn't. Care to guess ? and its not diamond.


The other material is a rare nickel alloy called NiSpan C.Its extremely difficult to get in usable pieces !
