#49380 - RE: DRAM and how to interface it to 8051
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi George,
I've used just 32K RAM of an old 386 cache for my player and it worked just fine as a buffer. I didn't tested with MP3s of more than 128 bit rate, but I think it would work.
If you want more, something like 64K, 128K, 256... you could use the cache memory (61512... 61010...) and do some bank switching with some unused pins.
What MP3 decoder chip are you using?

Gabriel.
