Thanks for the tip Erik. I am evaluating Compact Flash as another alternative, but I'm not sure at the moment because in IDE mode, the page size is 512 bytes/sector. My aim is to have a data pattern of 512Kb or more to be loaded in the memory and be retained on power off too. Also, I need to be able to seamlessly address the memory. I do not know of the 669 etc, but will look it up.
