Hi All
I just used the digilab development board of www.digilentinc.com and made my first program, it actually works! I'm excited with these new wonderful free tools from xilinix (ISE WEBPACK) and model simulator, they certainly make life easy.
Getting excited (as always) I wanted to go to next step and interface my digilab DIO2 board from same company which contains an XC95108 CPLD, and do more complex designs for i/o.
my question is does this CPLD on the DIO2 board come pre programmed to interface the buttons and leds etc or do I have to program it myself?
I tried it and it looks like it needs programming, if this was the case, do I need special programming cable for it or can I make a small adapter for the parallel cable that came with the digilab d2 board for JTAG programming?
another question, I noticed the I/O board works with 5v VCC while the fpga board works with 2.5 and 3.3 VDC, is there any chance of damaging my fpga board if I used the DGIO2 with it directly?
