Like Andy says,Leonardo is an integrated enviroment,much like you get for software development,but they dont actualy do anything that you cannot do for yourself using a command prompt and some patience.For most tasks you'll find that a lot of developers use perl/sed in fact you can pay $40,000 for a seat with synopsis,which is the development system if you are serious about asic development rather than FPGA's and still be faced with a command line,a very expensive command line.
