#73688 - RE: making PCBs for SMD. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
This looks like the way to go (except I will have to start the experiments with paper from scratch, I don't think I can buy such paper locally)
What I heard of was using not paper but a laser printer transparency, the kind used for overhead projectors. Print the project, apply the iron, pull the transparency free, toner remains on copper, no washing and extra profit that you can align the transparency to some mark (like a pair of through holes) while making second side of a double-sided PCB. With some luck you can even reuse the same transparency. The description of the process I got was in real hurry though and the site seems to add a lot of info. It seems the risk of the toner not transferring thoroughly from a transparency is way higher though - has anyone tried that? |
