SPI=serial port interface No. SPI = Serial Peripheral Interface. SPI is a Protocol - not a component (unlike the UART). According to the Atmel datasheet I'm looking at SPI means: Serial Port Interface and is referred to thereafter as 'The SPI module'. The chip most definitely does have an SPI in exactly the same way it has a UART. It is a physical object. |
