#81944 - SPI Responding to: ???'s previous message |
"Are they actually talking specifically about SPI as in the Motorola 3/4-Wire bus"
Now it's a bus, not a protocol? "Which datasheet is it?" AT89C51xD2 "No - as you just said, it has an "SPI module" and a "UART"" I could have equally well said it has a UART module, or that one of the on-chip peripherals is a UART. Another of the on-chip peripherals is an SPI - call it Serial Port Interface, Serial Peripheral Interface, whatever you like - it's a piece of hardware. Think about it - the last word is 'Interface'. An interface, in the context of a piece of hardware, is a physical thing. |
