Should we ask Craig to change all the words "UART" on the forum to the "RS232C protocol" or more precisely to TIA/EIA-232-F or to ITU-T V.24, V.28 and ISO/IEC 2110(:-)? No, because a UART doesn't necessarily have to conform to those standards! 232 is more than just a UART -- it's about voltage signalling levels, addition lines for handshaking, etc etc. The UART is the low-level component.
