#87667 - multilayer PCBs
I extracted this from a lenghty thread since I think it may be of general interst

Payam Soltany:
The boards are 6 layers Huh?! You mean I should pay for eight 50x50cm six-layer boards? It's bloody expensive. I compensates all our calculations ... everything we gained in migating to non-mux.

Erik Malund:
I seem to recall that in some countries multilayer boards are used by the board manufacturers for extorsion, try a european maker for the 6 layers. as a US reference an ad in EE Times from http://www.PCBnet.com state 6 layers for $20)

Kai Klaas:
Yes, in the U.S.A. and if you order hundreds of them. But in other parts of the world 6 layers are totally out of range!

Erik Malund:
The one I just listed from an ad require sign in (which I refuse when not personally interested), however
http://www.PCBorder.com will sell you 6 layers for $40 if you order a dozen.

Since I do not buy bare boards (my contract manufacturers make their own boards) I have no personal experience; however maybe someone (not in the US) would be interested in a company that list itself as "China Connection" http://www.mylydia.com

Erik
