#87710 - Been there, done that

well then check their ProtoPro: 5 boards any shape (size limit) with all the trimmings for $229

Been there, done that. That's the service I used with my last two orders with them. Luckily these orders actually fit their 21 sq. inch size limit perfectly. But there are some things I plan to do in the upcoming months that could really benefit from something between a $51 3.8x2.5" board and a $229 21 sq. inch board. Again, the difference is probably trivial for larger companies with good sized development budgets. But I'm not one of those companies so there is a difference to me between $51 and $229.

The other issue is that when I'm prototyping, I could probably get by with a single board and I'd seldom need more than two. The three they give you for $51 isn't unreasonable, but the first order I placed with them for $229 had some errors that I quickly recognized (which led to my second order to include the corrections). So instead of throwing one away, I ended up throwing five away.

Regards,
Craig Steiner
