#87692 - Requesting input from 8052.com members
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I would appreciate some feedback from all of you. This subject (prototyping PWBs) has come up before, and it always seems to be of interest.

Let me first be plain on this point. I am not offering this service at this time. I am only considering whether to offer a prototyping PWB service, or not. If in the future I decide to offer this service I will advertise the same without stiffing Craig out of his advertising revenue. In the meantime, I would like some member feedback to help me make the decision one way or the other.

I have an LPKF C60 circuit board plotter/router for making prototype boards. My thought is to offer to manufacture prototype PWBs for a fixed price per square inch per layer, perhaps subject to some minimum charge, but without requiring the purchase of additional boards.

So what do you think? Does this sound like a service that you would use? If so, what size are most of your boards? How many layers do you usually need? What other thoughts do you have on this subject? I really appreciate your input.

Joe
