Thanks for your reply, I am very sorry but Its not really clear.. otherwise, most (all?) derivativesmicrocontrollers can drive a HCsuch as 74HC14 input from the clock. This HC must be so tight to the uC that you think they are in love. We were discussing 8051 and HCTL20xx. what 74HC has to do with this? What exactly is that clock? And what's being tight to uc?
