#88871 - practical use

Hoe frequently did they stop?
how frequently did they reverse direction?

This is the machine:

http://www.specs.de/products/...e_rect.htm

Its hard to explain it in detail.

A recalibration on the end switch was done after power up or after inserting a new target.

Then during measurement a fully random positioning can occur or scanning to get an image of the surface.

The test routine goes several positions in one direction and then backward to the end switch (without recalibration) and notice the deviation and this was done over 24h. The test passes, if all deviations below 100µm.
The step width of the position sensor is 5µm.
The test was done to check, if the mechanical part works right.
There was never seen a problem in the electrical part.
