But it is still not the solution - this is almost the same as classical lookup in terms of cycles, plus the overhead for the masking, rotation etc. I agree. Clearly the straight lookup table is the fastest. I was just trying to come up with a way of fitting into the the memory the OP has available. Have a beer on me ;-) Ian |
