#95210 - Zylogic? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

... a very fast verified '51 IP was available with full ICE capabilities (with or without external logic attached), I would consider it if the result would pricewise compare favourably to the SILabs F122/F126 chips (1 clock 50/100 MHz) at my quantities.
Erik One advantage of FPGA is the ease of offloading certain functions from software into the programmable logic "hardware" Depending on your precise requirements, this could mean that you don't actually need such a fast 8051 any more... The Triscend parts were available up to 40MHz - I think Zylogic still have the same specs: http://www.zylogic.com.cn/english/products02.htm The datasheet says, "4 cycles per instruction byte provides up to 10 MIPS performance at 40 MHz" You get the full JTAG + on-chip debug for "ICE", of course The E5 was never cheap - but then neither is a SILabs F122/F126. I don't know Zylogic's current pricing - but their phone number is on the above-mentioned web page (tell 'em I sent you!) |
