We could "pollute" the forum with my beliefs about cooking religion and politics and everyone that came here for technical reasons would have to read through, whi knows how many, irrelevant posts. I agree. I find these kinds of discussions very interesting and I do participate in them: In other forums where it is on-topic. I also know that such discussions usually do become very heated and very polarized. As interesting as the topics are, I think they are best left for other forums. Human nature being what it is, I don't think any of us are going to be happier if we start discussing politics and religion here so it makes sense to keep it on established topics. I do apologize for asking Payam why he didn't want to finish up the university as I certainly didn't think it was going to provoke that kind of a response. Without getting into politics, many of us feel that we were exposed to similar (conceptually) situations in U.S. universities. In those cases it's easy to just want to throw in the towel and quit, but then nothing will ever change. I'll end my comments on this here but, Payam, as a general life suggestion with no religious or political overtones: If you find there's something you don't like in your surroundings, the best think you can do is try to fix it. This is seldom accomplished by leaving. Regards, Craig Steiner |
