In the thread "does anybody use those "low" baud rates?" it was postulated
a) many use UART mode 0
b) Most do not use a standard (e.g. 9600) serial

I think this is not true and thus start this thread

for me

never used UART mode 0
I do not recall any project without RS232 or RS 485 connection although there my have been one.
