No, I have said in virtually every post in this thread "your opposition to 11.0592 is not relevant where communication with other standard stuff should be precise in the baudrate. If this quote from my second post: "I actually stated that if you use mode 0 then 12MHz may be the best choice." is an indication of the basis for what i quote you saying above, then I am at a loss. If you do not like a standard, tough, I may not like certain standards, but I still adhere to them, just because they are standards. The whole thing comes down to the following I say "if you communicate use a precise baudrate, if you interface use the clock that fit the best You say "use the clock that fit whatever you are doing, screw the precision of the baudrate" Well in this we differ, i really could not care less how excellent something is if it fail in communicating with the user.
