I actually stated that if you use mode 0 then 12MHz may be the best choice.

What I have discussed is your generalizing that 11.0592 is "sacred" "that old standby" which it is not. It is what is chosen for generating baudrates with precision.

If you had posted "in mode 0 it does not make sense to use 11.0592" you would not have heard a beep from me. HOWEVER, you turned the discussion into "whatever you are making, using 11.0592 is hanging on to tradition" which it definitely is not.
